Hi All,
I hope that you all have had a great week. Next week is a big week at TES and a big week for the Rudisill Koinonia.
We will be hosting Greet the Week this Monday and next. I would love for the kids to be in the courtyard willing and ready to be on stage by 7:50 on Monday morning.
Next week is also ERB week. ERBs are an important part of our year and I hope all students will take them seriously. It is important to get a good night's sleep and bring a snack each day for break.
ERBs will be held starting at 9:00 on Monday morning. After the conclusion of the ERBs for the day, class will resume as usual for the remainder of the day.
The schedule for the week is as follows:
Monday: ****Calculators are used on the test. Please remind your child to bring his/her calculator to school with them on Monday.****
9:00 - 9:40 Math
9:45 - 10:30 Math Part 2
Tuesday:
9:00 - 9:45 Quantitative Reasoning
9:55 - 10:30 Math: Constructed Response
Wednesday:
9:00 - 9:30 Writing Mechanics
9:40 - 10:25 Writing Concepts and Skills
10:40 - 11:00 Vocabulary
Thursday:
9:00 - 9:35 Verbal Reasoning
9:45 - 10:25 Reading Comprehension
10:40 - 11:10 Reading Comprehension: Constructed Response
Friday is a make-up day for ERBs and also an afternoon of service. If your child does not have to make up any ERBs then Friday morning will be spent in core classes as usual.
Thanks for your support!
Please feel free to email with any questions!

Hope to see you all at Back to School Night tomorrow night!
8.17.2011
Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a great day! We had a wonderful day at school. Your kids will be tired for sure.
A few things...
We will be labeling the agendas tomorrow with Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 for the entire year.
I will also give the kids their elective forms tomorrow. The forms are yellow and you should see them tomorrow night. Please read them over with your child and send them back by Monday. There are great offerings so I hope you and your child will be pleased.
Packing lists and details for the middle school retreat will also be coming home soon. We leave for Montreat next Wednesday at 7:45 and will return to TES by dismissal on Friday.
Please feel free to email or call with any questions or concerns.
Many thanks!
Margaret
8.16.11 Welcome to the Rudisill Koinonia! I am so glad to have each of you and your families in my koinonia this year! Members of our Koinonia are 8th graders: Will Kinnamon, Emma Grace Lloyd, Marshall Morris and Shelby Peres, 7th grader: Camille Wilder, 6th graders: Billy Hobbs, Claire Minter, Drew Palermo, Trey Wardell and Molly Wilkinson.
Parents,
Koinonia is a home base for middle school! I am looking forward to meeting with each of you in the next few weeks to talk about your expectations for your child for the 2011-2012 year. I am here to talk about ANY concerns or joys you might want to share about your child. Middle School @ TES is a fabulous place, but can have its ups and downs. Please keep me in the loop so I can help your child in the most effective way!
I would love a heads up about vacations, doctor's appointments (even the morning of...shoot me an email at mrudisill@tescharlotte.org or a text...I will send you my phone number), days out sick, etc.
I am looking forward to a great year!
Margaret
